At the Gutknecht family's alpine hut, tradition is handed down from generation to generation. André perpetuates this know-how to the rhythm of the herd, milking and the fire under the cauldron. This is how L'Etivaz PDO was born, the fruit of demanding work and a deep respect for the mountains.

THE COULLAYTES.

On the Coullaytes mountain pasture, the Henchoz family - Roger and Fabien - and their families have been carrying on a mountain tradition for three generations. All summer long, they follow the rhythm of the pastures and the herd. Alpine grass gives L'Etivaz PDO its unique flavour, and every morning the fire under the cauldron keeps a simple, authentic tradition alive.
